Customer Merchandise Return Policy

We at Williams Distributing Co. realize that there may be an instance when you will need to return merchandise that you have ordered. We have established the following policy and procedures in order to expedite the entire return process for you.

Stock Merchandise
Merchandise that we stock will be charged a 25% restock fee* if the following criteria have been met:

  • The merchandise is returned within 90 days of the invoice date.
  • The merchandise is in the original factory carton and in new condition.
  • Merchandise has never been installed
  • *Restock fees will be waived for factory defects or Williams Distributing Co. errors

Non Stock Merchandise
Merchandise that we do not stock is NOT RETURNABLE*

*Exception: Merchandise damage or Williams Distributing Co. errors.

Credit for Electronic Merchandise will be issued only after inspection by Williams Distributing Co. shows the item to be in new working condition.

Merchandise to be returned must meet the following criteria:

  • Merchandise must be returned within 90 days of the invoice date in order to receive credit.
  • Merchandise returned must be in the original factory carton and in new condition to receive credit.
  • Merchandise located at new construction or remodel type jobsites must be valued at $50.00 or more to be eligible for pick up by Williams Distributing Co. delivery truck.

Return Merchandise Process

  • Contact your salesperson or customer service department
  • Kitchen & Bath customer service: 1-800-748-0503
  • HVAC customer service: 1-800-748-0502
  • He/She will discuss your specific situation and provide you with direction.

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued.

  • If after discussion with your salesperson/designer a RMA is deemed necessary, the RMA will be created, and when applicable, a pick up will be scheduled.
  • During the pick up/return process the merchandise will be inspected by our Williams Distributing Co. associate. If the merchandise is rejected by a delivery driver, an "Unable to Deliver/RMA Pick Up/Exception form will be provided with the explanation for the rejection.
  • Upon receipt of the merchandise, a credit will be issued for the merchandise after the applicable restock fees have been deducted. See "Stock Merchandise" above for an explanation of the restock fees.

All credits will be issued within 7 days of the product being returned. If you have not received your credit please contact your sale rep or customer service representative.
